After presenting our objects, I joined a group with Kriti and Joy. We noticed themes within our objects that consisted of home, comfort, and sense of touch. I wanted to get a global perspective of these themes, so I looked for these symbols such as hands – translated into art. I visited Frieze Art Fair, as I live right next to the park. I walked around for hours, getting excited when I recognized artists names such as Cindy Sherman or Sterling Ruby. It was interesting, like a ‘wheres waldo’ experience when trying to look for these symbols through different mediums.
Sophie Bernard's Thought Process
